Amelia B and Beverly Halquist
|
Beverly Halquist became involved in the Arabian horse by sheer happenstance. She was attending a women’s group function hosted at a Scottsdale Arabian horse farm. She was so mesmorized by the regal stature of a certain arabian yearling chestnut filly with a flaxen mane & tail. She knew at that moment she needed to own that beautiful creature. So she inquired about this particular filly, who happen to just two weeks earlier, was crowned ,U.S. National Champion yearling filly. The filly could be purchased and she decided right then and their, that she should start out at the top!. This wonderful horse’s name is Amelia B. So after two years of horse ownership and now owing two offspring of Amelia B , Beverly was going to become a grandmother. The Halquist family went looking for a farm to raise Arabians and a playground for the grandchildren. Shortly there after Lazy B was established.
